Terms of use

The game

NORTH is a free puzzle game. Play it as much as you like. Don't abuse the service that hosts it or the tile servers it relies on (for example by scraping or automated bulk requests).

Scoreboard names

The name you choose is shown publicly. Don't use one that is offensive, impersonates someone, or contains personal information about you or anyone else. Names are filtered automatically, and any name reported to playwardrun@gmail.com is reviewed and removed. We may remove a name or a score without notice.

No warranty

NORTH is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. Map data is real-world data maintained by volunteers and may contain errors; frames, scores and daily puzzles may change as the game develops. Scores and streaks are stored only on your device and may be lost if that storage is cleared — we can't restore them.

Not for navigation

It should go without saying, but: NORTH is a game. Don't use it to navigate.

Map data & attribution

Maps are © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database Licence (ODbL). Tiles are served by OpenFreeMap using the OpenMapTiles schema. Rendering by MapLibre GL JS (BSD-3). See About for full credits.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer accepts no liability for any loss arising from use of NORTH. Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction is to stop playing (though we'd rather you told us what's wrong).
